Five Reasons To Make Hong Kong Your Next Holiday Destination
I’ve written many articles on Paris, despite only having lived there for six months. Yet, I have never written anything about Hong Kong, the place in which I grew up and lived for 14 years. Perhaps it’s because I never ‘travelled’ to Hong Kong. To me, an annual trip back is nothing more than seeing my family, and so, I hardly do anything touristy, if ever. Although in recent years, I did have more friends travelling eastward to visit me during the Summer and as I showed off my city to its foreigners, I found myself falling in love with it all over again. Cheesy, right? But it’s true. What’s more? I discovered places and hidden gems I had never realised existed. I think when you are home alone, you kind of just take the place for granted. Home is home. It does not necessarily motivate you to get out of bed, let alone get you out of the door to explore its treasures, for you already have all the designated places for each activity memorised in the back of your head. This is a guide to Hong Kong from your typical Hong Kong girl with the local knowledge at the back of her head, visiting the city as a tourist for the first time. Click the link below to check it out!
