12-14/04/2019, Le week-end

This weekend, I had a last-minute visitor around. On Friday night, we went to one of the best bouillon for dinner, Bouillon Pigalle, and walked around the area before heading back to my humble 7m2 chambre de bonne.

Come Saturday, we finally went up to the top of the Arc de Triomphe (last time we couldn’t because it was closed for some national event). Despite the temperature being on the low end, the sun was out and we had a clear view of Paris. We brunched at La Fontaine de Belleview and walked through a weekend market to Parc de Buttes-Chaumont before we checked ourselves into the OKKO Hotel for the night.

On our last day, we had a lie in and checked out midday. We played a few intensive games on PS4 in Galaries Lafayette, window-shopped in La Marais and treated ourselves to a quiet meal at Des Gars dans la Cuisine. By the time we were done, most museums were about to close except for Centre Pompidou, where we ended up spending an hour so admiring arts we didn’t understand and the view of Paris from the balcony on the penultimate floor.
